Hanging Hands

Pencil skeching is kinda amazing. Every stroke added gives the detail of the three dimensional figure. Particularly from the shadow to the lighted area there are so many different shades. One really should have an Owl eye to capture the difference. What remains a puzzle is where to add a shadow and also the depth of the shade. Most of the time, I add shadows and shades to my own imagination. But then taking a look at the picture, hmmm......something somewhere is missing or something somewhere is too much and hawkward. If this is the case with black and white pictures, imagine the case with coloured ones.
Hey wait a minute, if the depth of the shade for a particular area is known, I think even with colour images continuing with the same colour but with a darker shade should work. Mixing the colour with black can give those darker shades.....could be....think sooooo.......
